1. You recently played your first show post-quarantine at Ubbi Dubbi. How did it feel to be back on stage?
It was a similar sensation to how it feels to chew 5 gum.
2. What was the hardest part of not being able to perform in person during the pandemic? Are you excited to start playing live again?
I’d say not being able to test out my new music on a festival or club sound system. So much of the experience is feeling it through some solid subs.
3. If you could play a show anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Red Rocks baby! I graduated on that stage, and one day I will play on that stage!
4. What’s the craziest thing that’s ever happened while you were DJing?
One time I performed for a Halloween festival and my Darth Vader Onesie split right down the middle in between my legs as I was dancing in front of everyone! I didn't even realize it until after my set…
5. We all had a hard time during the pandemic, but a lot of people took the extra time at home to learn new hobbies or work on new music. What did you do during all of this? Is there any new music that we can expect to hear sometime soon?
I taught myself how to play piano and started experimenting with new genres of music. Expect plenty of new music this year!
6. You put together a little playlist for us. Can you tell us a little about why you picked these songs?
This is a collection of my own favorite tunes and some from my friends who've been busting their ass on tunes during quarantine. Should be a good sample from what you can expect to hear from my live sets!
7. What made you gravitate towards producing bass music?
The feeling you get when you're in the crowd with all of your friends that you've known for years or people that you just met, sweating your ass off, simultaneously headbanging to the nastiest bass you’ve ever felt is the biggest release of serotonin to me.
8. What are your biggest influences, musical or not, that inform the music that you make? Who is an artist that you would love to collaborate with?
My biggest influences in the scene are Excision, Spaces Laces, LAXX, Madeon and Illenium. All of them started making moves in the EDM world for as long as I can remember. If I had the opportunity to collaborate with any of them I would be the happiest camper!
9. What are you most looking forward to now that things are starting to reopen and get back to “normal”?
I can't wait for all of us to be back together under one roof, celebrating each other's presence and leaving all the things that we worry about everyday at the door for the night.
